Audio-Free Gameplay
Tapstice is fully playable without audio. All important information is displayed visually.
Features:
- No audio-only information
- Visual indicators for all game events
- Separate music, sound, and haptic controls
Zen Mode - Accessible Gameplay
We understand that timing-based games can be challenging for some players. That's why we created Zen Mode - a special game mode designed for accessibility:
- No Game Over - Practice without pressure or time limits
- Relaxed Pace - Take your time with each tap
- Voice Control/Access Friendly - Works great with voice commands on both platforms
- No Penalties - Miss a tap? No problem, just try again
- Perfect for Practice - Learn the game mechanics stress-free
Zen Mode allows all players, regardless of ability, to enjoy Tapstice at their own pace.
Touch Accessibility
All interactive elements in Tapstice meet platform-recommended minimum touch target sizes:
- iOS: Minimum 44x44 points (Apple Human Interface Guidelines)
- Android: Minimum 48x48 dp (Material Design Guidelines)
- Buttons are easy to tap accurately
- Interactive elements have adequate spacing
- Users with motor impairments can navigate comfortably
In-App Accessibility Settings
In addition to respecting system accessibility settings, Tapstice offers in-app controls:
- Sound Toggle - Enable or disable all sounds
- Music Toggle - Separate control for background music
- Haptic Toggle - Enable or disable vibration feedback
- Theme Selection - Choose your preferred visual theme
Find these options in the Settings menu within the app.
Known Limitations
We strive to make Tapstice as accessible as possible, but we want to be transparent about current limitations:
- Timing-Based Gameplay - The core gameplay requires timing precision, which may be challenging for some users. We recommend Zen Mode for a more accessible experience.
- Captions - Tapstice does not currently include captions as there is no spoken dialogue or video content.
- Audio Descriptions - Not applicable as there is no video content requiring description.

- Reduce Motion behavior testing
- Touch target size verification (minimum 44x44 points)
Android Testing

Third-Party Content
Tapstice integrates with third-party services, some of which may not fully meet the same accessibility standards:
- Advertisements: Ads displayed through Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network are provided by third parties. While we encourage our ad partners to follow accessibility best practices, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of all ad content. You can remove ads entirely through an in-app purchase.
- External Links: Links to external websites (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, social media) lead to third-party sites whose accessibility practices are beyond our control.
- Authentication Providers: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In interfaces are provided by their respective platforms. Both Google and Apple have strong accessibility commitments.

- AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) - Ontario, Canada accessibility standard. We aim to meet AODA requirements for users in Ontario.
Conformance Status: Tapstice partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conforms" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, primarily due to the timing-based nature of core gameplay (mitigated by Zen Mode). We are continuously working to improve conformance.
